sci-fi dream

so my dream last night was really weird, i should totally write it up as a sci-fi short story.

the aliens invaded, but we actually couldn't see what they looked like, b/c they molded themselves into human form (which looked suspiciously like ewan mcgregor). the quality of life was much better cuz the aliens had far more advanced technology. we were genetically engineered to fly, infrastructure was improved on many levels (roads, trains, electricity etc.), and "pleasure palaces" were erected in each neighbourhood, resembling the mughal indian marble palaces and gardens, where we could lounge around, swim, etc. for food, we were given a little birdie (something like a furry yellow duck) which we could skin alive and get all kinds of meat (poultry, beef, pork etc.) off it, but the meat would always grow back, so that we just needed that one birdie to supply all our meat. i can't quite remember what they did for veggies, tho.

i know, this is really weird.

white xmas

merry christmas everyone! i'm off to bed for another fun-packed boxing day, but will write more later...

[update]
so yes, xmas day was basically spent at the stenbergs', opening presents, stuffing myself with food, watching the kids, playing games, and of course, pavarotti. i got some more books, just what i need! more shelf space must be cleared to accomodate them. we all felt sorry for charlotte who was in some mormon town in alberta w/ ryan, deprived of coffee. but she'll be back soon.

today we went to patty's and watched 80s music videos on mtv, and i got to see sacha! she's full grown now, the last time i saw her she was still a puppy! will see her again at the johnstons' new years open house. they're a really nice family, altho the mom can be alittle eccentric at times (in a good way).

well i should start my lsat studying sometime soon. the ubc libraries are closed till the 1st, which is annoying. oh well. should try the public library, i guess.

olympic mascots

is it just me, or do they look really hello kitty-ish? too bad they're not making plush toys of Mukmuk.
