ack, haven't posted in so long

finally moving out of dorm room! i hate packing, tho. really amazing how i managed to stuff so much crap into that tiny room... lots of stuff to throw out.

summer has been pretty cool, gone to many places that i've never been, thanks to felix. first time on a motorcycle, too! (shhh... don't tell my mom - she'll freak out)

kind of looking forward to the fall. would be nice to talk to rhodri again. hopefully i'll be able to take his seminar (since i had to drop out of his lecture class last term). i think he'd be great in smaller classes rather than big ones, anyway. and i'm taking 2nd year latin, which will be fun.

after the hiatus

so, i haven't written for a while. what have i been doing these past few months?

long story short, i had another breakdown and had to half-quit school. right now i'm trying to tie up loose ends. looks like it's gonna take more time to graduate, after all. and i still don't know what i'm gonna do afterwards. contemplating heading down south to cali?? but it's so comfortable here...

btw, i think i'll be twittering more often, from now. i like the compactness of 140 characters.

back in the routine

spent a quick reading break at home with the furball. at least he still remembers me. the rest of my family doesn't play with him as much as i do, i guess.

back in school and i HATE it. classes are boring, assignments are tedious. 2 more months to go, then i have my damn degree.

oh, i've decided to partially abandon facebook, it was getting waaaay too tmi (= too much info), plus some of my friends are really into u.s. elections which is really annoying when that's all you see on the freaking news feed. i will check it once in a while for messages (i've turned off all email notifications that clog my inbox), but if it's urgent, please resort to good-old email. thanks.

so i totally bombed the lsat yesterday, but oh well.

had fun at fasching, we were so noisy that the police came, which apparently is a fasching first! pics are up on facebook. i am supposed to be "miss canada" - hehe. my face looks really white, for some reason. maybe i went overboard on the makeup :P

today is setsubun, but unfortunately i don't have the beans to throw out the window.

my new favourite series. a 2007-08 version of Sex and the City, the girls all have blackberries! and at least some of them are married w/ kids (and one of them is gay, which adds more variety). SATC was alot of bitching about how single they were, but CM seems to be more like how successful women deal with marriage and relationships. the only downside is that i HATE Lucy Liu.... but Frances O'Connor and Miranda Otto make up for that, i guess.

and juno has been nominated for an oscar, which is great!

late nite stuff

it's almost 3am and i'm still up.

spent the evening watching hitler beat darth vader, and performed some surgical operations on fake almost-dead people.

happy new year!

experienced my first "western" new year's eve in a long time @ eva & orcun's, on the way back the police was checking for drunk drivers and despite the 2 martinis i had, i was not breathalized. because, of course, no drunk person would be playing schumann's piano pieces in their car. ;)

made my first attempt at new year's breakfast which turned out pretty well, stuffed myself with rice cake. later went to the johnston's open house and stuffed some more.
